Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk 2010

July 27, 2010

This year, I joined the Photo Walk again with a bunch of other photographers. The aim is to come together and shoot scenes, people, etc. of Georgetown and at the same time make some new friends. Gosh, we started walking at 7am and finished at 9am! Had the roti canai at Transfer Road after that – quality has dropped severely. My advise – avoid it. Here are the picks of the photos I took during the walk.

More photos over at my Smugmug.

Chin Ping + Yih Fang @ Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion

July 7, 2010

Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion. Within the confines of its rich heritage and magnificent building, Chin Ping and Yih Fang both decided to hold their wedding here. Both of them are now working in UK, so they had friends and family from all over fly in to join them in this joyous occasion. This is my first time shooting here, but with the easy going nature of the couple, the day’s shoot went through like a breeze. Also a first for me, was shooting the couple taking a trishaw ride within the vicinity of Georgetown.

Although it was just a short ride, I couldn’t catch up with the trishaws and had to take “short cuts” in order to shoot some of the photos. Says a lot about my stamina level.

After the dinner, the couple and excellent dancers from their friends and relatives danced the night away while me and teetoo called it a night. As we left the building tired from all the shooting, they were still dancing. I wonder where they get their energy from. To CP and Yih Fang, here’s wishing you all the best in your married life.
